We woke up with a lovely breakfast at the inn. Along with a text of Willie Nelson’s song, On the Road Again, from Susan (sis in law).
We read books and called the kids as we waited.

Then we did what we had done a few days earlier and began packing in hopes that today would be the day that Nashville approves us to re-enter the state.
Some time later, we got the word, that it was looking like a good chance so Blake put on one of our favorite songs by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors called “Family.”
For some reason, my blog won’t let me connect videos so maybe one day I will figure it out and post some. (Like the one of HC dancing to “Family.”)
By the time we got loaded, gas, and a to go Chicken Caesar Salad, the CALL CAME!!
“Catherine, you guys can go home.” said our fine lawyer.
“Woo Hoo!” I shouted back for all of Kansas to hear!!
And across the state line we went into Missouri and then home about 7 + hours later.

Our last stop was for a smoothie!

When he saw the barn and the lights hanging as we made our way up our long driveway, he began squealing with excitement.
It’s all so much to take in. I can’t imagine what he thought when he saw his little room that my friend, Amy, made for him while we were gone.

Henry Connor you are SO BRAVE.
WELCOME HOME!
FAMILY By Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors Family, singing in the kitchen
Family, running through the yard
Family, going on vacation
Family, on the credit card, Family all in this together
Family, we’re taking a chance
Family, like birds of a feather
Family, kick off your shoes and dance, Family on the way to the city
Family, laughing in the rain
Family, it ain’t always pretty
Family, can drive you insane
Welcome home, Henry Connor!! So happy to hear about your dancing and squealing!! Prayed for all of you this morning. Much love as you get settled in.
