Quotes From Theodore

Theodore recently had another birthday and in his honor I thought I would share some of his quotes.

  • “Mama, if you weren’t married to Daddy I would marry you.”
  • “My favorite thing about dinner is Daddy is here and we are all together.”
  • “Can you tell me everything you know about God?”
  • “Why did the lady that had me in her tummy leave me?” Me- “Sometimes I just know all the answers but so grateful she gave you life and we will be FOREVER GRATEFUL.”
  • “Does the lady that kept me in the orphanage miss me?”
  • “What would happen to me if I never got adopted and turned into Caleb’ s age?” (Caleb is 16 but he was meaning an adult I think )
  • “You’re almost the best mama.” I replied, “Thank you Theodore, I think.” 🤔😂
  • It was bedtime. “We haven’t had any snuggle time today. Can you meet me on the couch in the morning with a cup of milk, some cheerios, and a Bible?”
  • “I don’t want to listen to this talk.” (We were listening to a podcast from our Focus on the Family app after 16 hours in the car to Colorado) “I don’t like it! But I have to because my ears are open!”
  • “When I grow up I would like two houses. One by you and Daddy and one house by Aunt Su Su.”
And my favorite quote of all time is:
  • “I became a Christian last night.”

The night before, we read a bed time chapter in a book called The Ology about sin, Jesus’s love for us, and forgiveness. These are some of the verses:

“I have come that you may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10

and

“While we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

and

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:9

Theodore said he thought about it all after I left the room and prayed to Jesus saying that he knew he was a sinner, believed that Jesus died for him, and asked Jesus to come into his life. Amen!! 😊

You’re QUITE QUOTABLE, THEODORE!!
