Even though we were with Henry for his last year’s birthday, this was his first birthday that he “GETS IT!” He has talked about his birthday for about 4 months prior and asked for everything under the Sun.
Balloons for my birthday!!
Ice cream cake for my birthday!
Legos for my birthday!
A horse for my birthday! (This one didn’t come in the form he had hoped 😬)
A pig for my birthday! (Neither did this one)
Lucy (his closest friend) come for my birthday!
Lunch with you and daddy for my birthday!
And on and on it went . At some point I had to just trust that he would feel special if Blake and I did most of “the things” (minus the horse and pig)…..
And below is the gift he didn’t know he wanted but it is at the top of the list for favorites! A hand made “Monk” which is Henry’s favorite bull that lives out on our pasture. Our precious friend, Krista, has one talented Mama that made this for him.
